Required Supporting Documents for Schengen Visa Application

To ensure a successful application, please provide the following supporting documents:

Pre-requisites:

Valid Travel Document: A passport issued within the last 10 years, containing at least two blank pages, and valid for a minimum of 3 months beyond the date you plan to leave the Schengen Area. For long-stay visas, the passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the visa’s expiry date. Please provide scanned copies of ALL pages of your travel document, including those containing visas, entry and exit stamps, or other notations.
Non-Bangladeshi Nationals: A residence permit in Bangladesh, valid for at least 3 months after the intended return date.
Official Travel Document Holders: A note verbale is required.
Passport Photos: Two recent passport-size photos, meeting ICAO standards.

Purpose of Travel/Stay:

Travel Booking: Confirmation of a pre-organized trip, including a detailed itinerary.
Personal Statement: A letter from the applicant outlining the planned travel.
Ticket Reservation: Proof of return ticket or travel itinerary for the entire duration of the trip.

Socio-Professional Status:

For Employees: An employment certificate on company letterhead, stating the employee’s name, position, date of hire, salary, and dates of approved leave.
For Business Owners or Self-Employed Individuals: A copy of the trade license (translated into English), memorandum and articles of association, Form 12 (if applicable), and the certificate of incorporation.

Proof of Financial Means:

For Employees: The last 6 months of personal bank statements and recent pay slips (if applicable).
For Business Owners or Self-Employed: The last 6 months of both personal and business bank statements, along with Form XI (if applicable).

Accommodation:

Hotel Booking: Proof of hotel reservations or vouchers, or an original “Attestation d’Accueil” (certificate of accommodation) obtained by your host from the relevant French city hall (Mairie), covering all countries to be visited and for the full duration of your stay in the Schengen Area.

Travel Health Insurance:

Insurance Certificate: A valid travel medical insurance certificate. If covered through corporate medical insurance, the certificate must include the applicant’s name, date of birth, coverage area, insured amount, and coverage expiry date.
